Product Description
This MADI card is an official Sennheiser accessory for the Spectera Base Station, the central 1RU hardware of the Spectera bidirectional wireless platform. It adds a coaxial MADI interface to the base station, carrying up to 32 input and 32 output channels over the AES10 MADI standard.
The BNC variant terminates in two BNC connectors for coaxial MADI cabling, the common choice in broadcast and many touring infrastructures. By adding MADI alongside the base station's standard Dante networking, the card gives integrators a second, independent audio transport, and it can be configured for redundant MADI audio I/O so a single transport failure does not interrupt the signal path. The card installs into the base station's expansion slot, keeping all I/O consolidated within the 1RU chassis. For facilities already standardized on coaxial MADI, this card is the direct way to bring Spectera's 64-channel wireless capacity into the existing audio network. Sennheiser also offers an OM (optical multimode) variant of the MADI card for installations that use fiber-based MADI runs.
