The MZS 40 uses elastic suspension to decouple the MKH 20, MKH 40, or MKH 50 from mechanical vibrations transmitted through the microphone stand. This is particularly important for studio recording where floor vibrations, HVAC rumble, or footfall can contaminate the audio. Compatible with standard 5/8-inch microphone stands.
