The 60cm length provides additional height above the installation surface compared to the standard 40cm MZH 3040 and 3042 tubes, making it suited to podium installations, raised desks, or applications where the speaker's mouth is further from the surface mounting point. The dual-flex design provides two independently flexible segments for precise capsule positioning.
Product Description
The MZH 3062 is a longer-length option in the Sennheiser IS series gooseneck range, providing 60cm of height above the installation surface with a dual-flex tube design. In conference and installed-sound environments, longer gooseneck tubes are specified when the standard 40cm length does not position the capsule close enough to the speaker's mouth for optimal intelligibility. This is common in podium installations where presenters stand behind the surface, in elevated desk configurations, or in rooms where seated speaker height requires a taller microphone. The dual-flex construction gives the 60cm tube two independently adjustable flexible sections, enabling precise capsule aiming despite the longer lever arm that longer tubes create. This is particularly important at 60cm where small angular adjustments at the base can result in significant capsule displacement at the tip. The MZH 3062 accepts ME 34, ME 35, and ME 36 capsule heads and connects to IS series mounting hardware (MZT 30, MZS 31) at the base. It is available as an individual component for custom installations requiring this gooseneck length.
