The Sennheiser MZA 900 is a P48 phantom power adapter that lets pre-polarised condenser microphones terminated for evolution wireless — with a 3.5 mm mini plug — run on a standard phantom-powered XLR input. It adds dual-colour status LEDs, a switchable 0 / -12 dB pre-attenuation pad and a switchable low-frequency roll-off filter, making it the standard 3.5 mm to XLR phantom adapter for turning a wireless mic inventory into wired capability. Two versions are stocked — the MZA 900 P and the MZA 900 P-4 — so select the variant that matches your microphone's termination.

Sennheiser lavalier and headworn microphones built for evolution wireless bodypacks terminate in a 3.5 mm mini plug and expect the bias voltage a transmitter supplies — they cannot simply be plugged into a mixer. This in-line phantom power adapter bridges that gap, converting P48 phantom power from a console or interface into the supply the capsule needs and presenting a balanced XLR output. The same MKE lavalier or HSP headset used on a bodypack can then be run on a cable to a lectern, a broadcast desk or a recording input without buying a second microphone.

Two controls handle the common problem sources. The pre-attenuation switch drops sensitivity by 12 dB for loud sources, keeping the preamp clear of overload. The switchable roll-off filter attenuates low-frequency content, which is what you reach for against handling noise, stage rumble and HVAC in a conference room. Dual-colour LEDs show power and switch state at a glance — worth having when the adapter is clipped out of reach behind a lectern or under a table.

For a bodypack-side equivalent on the professional series, the P48 adapter for SK 6000 and SK 9000 performs the same conversion for 3-pin SE microphones. Compatible capsules stocked here include the MKE Essential omni lavalier and the HSP Essential headset microphone.
