The MKH 8030 uses the same RF condenser push-pull transducer technology as the MKH 8000 series, delivering very low self-noise, extended frequency response, and excellent off-axis coloration rejection. The figure-8 polar pattern is unique in the MKH 8000 lineup and is essential for MS stereo recording setups where the MKH 8030 serves as the side microphone capturing ambient and spatial information. The MZX 8000 XLR module attaches to the back of the MKH 8030 capsule for direct XLR connection to mixers, interfaces, or DSP processors. The two included Rycote back-to-back clips allow the MKH 8030 to be mounted perpendicularly to an MKH mid capsule in a compact MS configuration without additional adapter hardware.
