The MKE 400 is Sennheiser's premium compact camera shotgun microphone, offering significantly tighter directional pickup than the MKE 200 for even better off-axis rejection in noisy environments. Its super-cardioid/lobar polar pattern focuses audio capture on whatever the camera is pointed at, greatly reducing room reflections, crowd noise, and ambient sound from the sides and rear. The included smartphone clamp enables use with smartphones, and the mini tabletop tripod stand provides a stable base for standalone use on a table or surface. The built-in 3-stage gain switch adjusts sensitivity for different recording environments. A headphone monitoring jack enables real-time audio monitoring directly from the microphone.
