The purpose-built drum clamp mounts directly to the rim of a drum shell, positioning the MD 421 KOMPAKT optimally for kick, snare, and tom miking without requiring a separate microphone stand. Includes MD 421 KOMPAKT microphone, MZH DRUMS drum clamp, and carry pouch.
Product Description
The MZH DRUMS clamp attaches to the rim of standard drum shells and holds the MD 421 KOMPAKT at the correct angle for close-miking percussive instruments, reducing stage clutter from floor-standing microphone stands. The MD 421 KOMPAKT’s dynamic cardioid transducer handles the high SPL of close-miked drums without distortion, and the controlled cardioid pattern provides isolation between adjacent drum shells in dense kit configurations. Suited for live sound reinforcement in houses of worship, theatres, and venues, as well as broadcast and studio drum recording.
