Product Overview
The Sennheiser HSP 4 is a lightweight cardioid condenser headset microphone built for high-gain, high-SPL professional stages where feedback rejection is critical. Based on the permanently polarized MKE platinum capsule, the HSP 4 delivers excellent off-axis rejection and superlative audio quality with an unobtrusive neckband design. This beige 3-pin variant pairs with Sennheiser bodypack transmitters for reliable wireless speech and vocals.
Product Description

The HSP 4 uses a cardioid version of Sennheiser's MKE platinum condenser capsule, giving it strong feedback rejection that lets it operate at high gain near loud monitors and PA systems — exactly the conditions found in contemporary worship, theatre, and touring production. The twist-proof 2 mm boom mounts on either side and adjusts in length and angle, and a detachable cap acts as an integral wind/pop shield. The neckband keeps the microphone clear of shirt collars and clothing to avoid rustle. Metal parts are PVD-coated for durability and the connection cable is user-replaceable. This unit uses a 3-pin connector for Sennheiser 2000/Digital 6000/Digital 9000 bodypacks such as the SK 6000 and SK 6212. Choose the HSP 4 over the omnidirectional HSP 2 when the priority is maximum gain-before-feedback on loud stages, auditoriums, and multi-purpose rooms.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I choose the HSP 4 or the HSP 2?
Choose the cardioid HSP 4 when feedback rejection matters most — loud stages, high gain, or nearby monitors. Choose the omnidirectional HSP 2 for the most natural, open sound in broadcast and controlled environments.
Which bodypack transmitters are compatible?
This 3-pin variant is designed for Sennheiser 2000 series, Digital 6000 (SK 6000, SK 6212), and Digital 9000 bodypacks. Confirm your transmitter's connector before ordering.
Is the boom adjustable and reversible?
Yes. The twist-proof 2 mm boom adjusts in length and angle and can be mounted on the left or right side of the neckband.
Does it include a windscreen?
A detachable cap functions as an integral wind and pop shield, and a foam windshield is included in the box along with a transport case, neckband, clips, cable, and manual.
Is the HSP 4 suitable for outdoor events?
Its cardioid pattern and included wind protection make it well suited to outdoor worship and event stages, though a supplementary foam windshield is recommended in high wind.
