Product Overview

The Sennheiser HSP 2 is a premium omnidirectional condenser headset microphone engineered for demanding hands-free professional applications. Its ultra-thin 1.1 mm boom and adjustable neckband are visually unobtrusive on camera and on stage, while the patented Umbrella Diaphragm protects the capsule against sweat for reliable performance under stage lighting. This beige 3-pin variant connects to Sennheiser bodypack transmitters for broadcast-grade wireless speech and vocals.

Product Description

Sennheiser HSP 2 – Omni Headset Mic (Beige, 3-Pin)

The HSP 2 is a modular headworn microphone system in which every component — boom, neckband, and connection cable — is interchangeable, so integrators and rental houses can service and reconfigure units rather than replace them. The extremely thin 1.1 mm boom arm can be mounted on the left or right side and all but disappears against the wearer, making the HSP 2 a favorite for broadcast, theatre, and high-visibility corporate and worship stages. The omnidirectional capsule delivers open, natural sound with a 150 dB max SPL and Sennheiser's patented Umbrella Diaphragm shields the element from perspiration — a common failure point for body-worn mics. Metal parts are PVD-coated for durability. This unit uses a 3-pin connector for Sennheiser 2000/Digital 6000/Digital 9000 bodypacks; pair it with an SK 6000 or SK 6212 transmitter and a Digital 6000 receiver to complete the wireless channel. Ideal for houses of worship, auditoriums, broadcast studios, and premium conference and all-hands rooms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which transmitters work with the HSP 2 3-pin version?

The 3-pin connector variant is designed for Sennheiser 2000 series, Digital 6000 (SK 6000, SK 6212), and Digital 9000 bodypack transmitters. Match the connector to your specific bodypack before ordering.

How does the HSP 2 resist sweat and humidity?

The capsule uses Sennheiser's patented Umbrella Diaphragm, which shields the element from perspiration and humidity — a frequent cause of failure in body-worn microphones under stage lighting.

Is the HSP 2 microphone repairable or modular?

Yes. The boom, neckband, and connection cable are all interchangeable, so a damaged component can be replaced individually rather than scrapping the entire microphone.

What is the difference between the HSP 2 and HSP 4?

The HSP 2 is omnidirectional for natural, open sound; the HSP 4 is cardioid for greater feedback rejection in high-gain or high-SPL environments. Choose omni for broadcast/worship clarity and cardioid for loud stages.

Does it ship with a case and accessories?

Yes. The HSP 2 includes a foam-lined plastic transport case, neckband, boom attachment clips, connection cable, frequency-response caps, quick guide, and safety guide.

Does Creation Networks provide integration support?

Creation Networks supports commercial AV integrators with compatibility guidance and post-sale support for HSP 2 deployments across worship, broadcast, and corporate environments.
