It is the standard battery compartment shipped with these handheld transmitters and is available here as a replacement if the original is lost or damaged. AA batteries provide flexible, widely available power for live performance use. For lithium-ion rechargeable operation, the BA 60 battery pack with compatible charger is the alternative.
