Product Description

ScreenBeam 1000 EDU wireless display receiver for classrooms

Wireless display in K-12 classrooms serves a specific instructional purpose: giving teachers freedom of movement while maintaining control over what's displayed, and enabling students to share their work without leaving their seats. The ScreenBeam 1000 EDU is designed around that workflow. Teachers connect once and can move anywhere in the room while presenting, annotating, or switching between student submissions.

The 1000 EDU supports the Chromebook-centric environments common in K-12 deployments through native Google Cast, while simultaneously supporting Windows Miracast and macOS/iOS AirPlay. No IT-deployed client application is required on any device. Students and teachers connect through the operating system's built-in wireless display function, reducing IT onboarding burden and minimizing classroom disruption from connection failures.

Multi-View mode allows teachers to display up to four student screens simultaneously—useful for comparing work, facilitating peer review, or running group activities where multiple submissions are presented side by side. Presenters can switch the active view without requiring the current presenter to disconnect, keeping classroom transitions quick and efficient.

For Windows touch panel deployments, the 1000 EDU supports wireless touchback on connected interactive flat panels, allowing annotations made on the IFP surface to be captured in real time on the teacher's Windows device in Microsoft Office 365. CMS Enterprise software is included for IT administrators to remotely configure, group, and update all 1000 EDU receivers across a campus from a central dashboard. Digital signage capability allows classroom displays to show schedule information, announcements, or other HTML content when not in active instructional use.
