At ten seats, a single table microphone is usually a supplement rather than the primary pickup — a chairperson position, or reinforcement for a ceiling array in a room with a long arc. Used as the sole microphone across ten positions, end-seat intelligibility will suffer, and the dual-mic configuration is the safer specification.
The cutout is machined into the specified location so the microphone sits flush, with cabling routed internally through the graphite pedestal alongside power and signal distribution to the tabletop. Cutouts are dimensioned to the microphone model and cannot be added later, so confirm the audio design before ordering.
