Product Overview

The RGB Spectrum Zio V2112 is an AV-over-IP multiviewer endpoint that decodes and displays five 1080p IP streams as one multi-window layout on a single display. It is the entry point into the Zio V2100 Series for control room and operations center positions where sources are HD rather than 4K. Streams arrive over standard Gigabit Ethernet in H.264 or H.265, so the endpoint uses existing network infrastructure instead of dedicated video cabling. Layouts and routing are configured from a browser-based HTML5 interface on any common desktop or mobile client.

Product Description

The Zio V2112 places multi-source viewing at the operator desk rather than in a central chassis, which keeps the head-end simple in a distributed AV-over-IP design. RGB Spectrum publishes the V2112 supported streams as up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz, with output on one HDMI 2.0 connector and one DisplayPort 1.4 connector at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. That combination lets an HD-source facility drive a 4K panel and still fill it with several live windows. Adding a position means adding an endpoint and a network drop, so this multiviewer endpoint fits phased commercial deployments and refits where conduit is already full. Audio is available as embedded HDMI or analog per the RGB Spectrum datasheet, covering desktop monitoring without extra hardware. The unit runs on 5 VDC with PoE+ support, which cuts the outlet count under each worksurface. Sources are encoded elsewhere on the network, so a typical HD system pairs the V2112 with Zio S2112 encoder endpoints and, where a source is 4K, Zio S2114 encoder endpoints. Single-stream operator positions can be filled more economically with the Zio D2112 decoder endpoint, and the Zio M2000 management server centralizes device configuration and layout presets as the deployment grows. Control room multiviewer integration is handled over Ethernet TCP/IP 10/100/1000BaseT with RTSP unicast or multicast transport.

Key Features

  • Five-stream multi-window display — A single endpoint decodes and displays five IP streams, giving each operator a full situational view on one monitor.
  • 1080p stream decode — RGB Spectrum publishes V2112 supported streams at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz, which matches the majority of installed HD sources.
  • 4K-capable output — Published output resolution reaches 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, so HD windows can be laid out across a large 4K panel.
  • HDMI and DisplayPort connectors — One HDMI 2.0 and one DisplayPort 1.4 output cover both commercial displays and DisplayPort desktop monitors.
  • H.264 and H.265 decoding — Support for both formats keeps the endpoint compatible with mixed-generation Zio encoders on the same network.
  • Browser-based HTML5 control — Operators and integrators manage layouts from Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS or Android without installing software.
  • PoE+ powered endpoint — The published 5 VDC and PoE+ support lets one switch port deliver both power and stream data to the desk.

Typical Applications

  • Control room — HD camera and dashboard feeds are combined on one operator display without a shared processor.
  • Operations center — Utility, transport and network operations desks watch several systems at once on a single monitor.
  • Command center — Supervisor positions can be added incrementally as staffing grows, using only a network drop.
  • Emergency operations center — Positions activate on demand, and layouts can be recalled from a tablet when the room is stood up.
  • Training room — Instructors show several live operational feeds side by side so trainees see the same view as the live floor.
  • Government space — Agency monitoring desks consolidate HD sources over existing Ethernet cabling rather than new video runs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the Zio V2112 and the Zio V2114?
RGB Spectrum publishes V2112 supported streams at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz and V2114 supported streams at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz; both publish the same output resolution of up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz.

Which encoders feed a V2112 multiviewer endpoint?
Any Zio encoder publishing H.264 or H.265 over RTSP will feed it; for HDMI sources the Zio S2112 is the usual HD match and the Zio S2114 covers 4K sources.

Can the V2112 be used for a single full-screen source?
It can, although a single-stream position is usually specified more economically with the Zio D2112 decoder endpoint, leaving multiviewer endpoints for positions that genuinely need several windows.

What network is required for commercial deployment?
The published control and stream interface is Ethernet TCP/IP 10/100/1000BaseT; a managed Gigabit switch with IGMP snooping configured for multicast AV traffic is the normal requirement.

How is the endpoint powered and mounted?
RGB Spectrum publishes 5 VDC with PoE+ support, and the 920 12645 wall and table mount fixes the unit under a desk or to a wall in a finished room.

Does it support audio at the operator position?
The RGB Spectrum V2100 datasheet publishes output audio support as digital embedded HDMI or analog, so desk speakers or a headset amplifier can be fed directly.

What warranty and support apply?
The RGB Spectrum manufacturer warranty applies to this part number, and Creation Networks supports specification and procurement, including written confirmation of the current warranty terms before you place the order.
