The Sound Control Technologies RCU3SL-HE is the replacement head-end (HE) module for the RCU3SL RemoteCamUSB3SL USB 3.2 Gen1 camera extension system. The HE module is the host-side component of the RCU3SL kit, connecting to the host computer, codec, or USB hub and driving the CAT cable run to the camera-end (CE) module at the camera location. Purchasing the RCU3SL-HE as a standalone unit allows field replacement of a failed head-end module without replacing the complete RCU3SL kit.

In any RCU3SL installation, the RCU3SL-HE resides at the host (codec or computer) end of the CAT cable run. It connects to the USB host port of the codec or computer and drives USB 3.2 Gen1 (5 Gbps) data, RS-232 VISCA PTZ control, and USB Power Delivery out to the RCU3SL-CE at the camera location — up to 100 meters away over a single CAT cable.
