Product Description

In a RemoteCam5+ system such as the RC5+UNI kit, the RC5+ HE head-end module sits in the equipment rack near the codec or production switcher and links to the RC5+ CE camera-end module at the camera over the SCTLink CAT cable. The head end injects 66W PoE++ class power down the link to drive the camera and camera-end module, passes uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 HDMI video to the codec, and carries IP/Ethernet control and manufacturer firmware updates to the camera. When a head-end failure is diagnosed, replacing only the RC5+HE restores full system operation while the existing RC5+ CE module, WPS-48 power supply, and cabling remain in place. The module is a like-for-like replacement built to the original RemoteCam5+ specification and pairs directly with the installed camera-end module.
