The Renkus-Heinz SX28 is an externally powered dual eight-inch subwoofer built for permanent commercial installations needing compact, controlled low-frequency reinforcement. Its twin SSL8-23 woofers deliver output comparable to a single 12-inch sub in a cabinet roughly two-thirds the volume. This passive subwoofer complements Renkus-Heinz full-range loudspeakers in houses of worship, multi-purpose rooms, and commercial meeting spaces, with large ports that keep its bass free of port noise.
Product Description
The dual eight-inch SX28 provides power and punch equal to most single 12-inch subwoofers in a cabinet that is two-thirds the volume, making it easy to integrate where space is limited. Large ports ensure forceful bass is never marred by chuffing or fluttering noise. Connections are made through two Neutrik Speakon NL4 connectors wired in parallel with a terminal strip, and a crossover frequency of 120 Hz or lower is recommended. Sixteen M10 Universal Mounting points allow the cabinet to be flown with M10 eyebolts, while the M20 pole adapter, recessed handles, and available casters support portable and ground-stacked use. The SX28 can be field-upgraded to a self-powered SA28 using Renkus-Heinz SA-Series amplifier modules.
