Product Overview

The Renkus-Heinz ICL-F-DUAL-RD is a digitally steerable line array loudspeaker built for permanent installation in acoustically demanding spaces. Combining two IC Live array modules with RHAON II network DSP and redundant Dante, it delivers precise vertical pattern control and high speech intelligibility in reverberant rooms such as houses of worship, auditoriums, and transportation hubs. Digital beam steering directs sound onto the audience and away from reflective walls and ceilings, all while the slim enclosure stays vertical and visually unobtrusive. This dual-module configuration is intended for long-throw, full-range coverage where both output and intelligibility matter.

Product Description

Renkus-Heinz ICL-F-DUAL-RD digitally steerable line array loudspeaker

The ICL-F-DUAL-RD uses advanced digital beam steering to place output exactly where it belongs. Using Iconyx BeamWare and RHAON II software, an installer can define as many as eight sonic beams across the dual array and aim them up or down, from -30° to +30°, without physically tilting the cabinet. Each module carries five 6.5-inch neodymium low-frequency transducers and three 1-inch titanium-nitride-coated high-frequency compression drivers, individually controlled by eight channels of Class D amplification with integral DSP.

The result is flat, controlled output with beam control effective down to 400 Hz and a maximum SPL of 140 dB peak, holding 110 dB at 100 feet (30.5 m). Horizontal coverage spans 150° up to 3 kHz, and the system supports analog, AES/EBU, and redundant Dante inputs for reliable networked audio. The Finnish birch enclosure with a perforated steel grille is offered in black or white with a weather-resistant finish, making this configuration suitable for both interior and protected exterior installations. For lower frequency extension below 75 Hz, the array pairs with matching Renkus-Heinz subwoofers. Explore the full Renkus-Heinz collection at Creation Networks.

Key Features

  • Digital Beam Steering — Define and aim up to eight independent sonic beams across the dual array to focus coverage on the audience and reduce reflections in reverberant rooms.
  • Vertical Pattern Control — Selectable opening angles of 5°, 10°, 15°, and 20° with aiming from -30° to +30° let you tailor vertical dispersion without moving the cabinet.
  • RHAON II Network and DSP Control — Onboard processing provides gain, mute, input selection, compression, 8-band parametric EQ, shelving and rolloff filters, delay, and up to ten stored preset configurations.
  • Redundant Dante Networking — Dual RJ45 connectors support Ethernet control and redundant Dante audio transport for mission-critical installations.
  • High Output for Its Size — The dual-module array reaches 140 dB peak and sustains 110 dB at 100 feet, covering large venues from a slim profile.
  • Individually Powered Transducers — Eight channels of Class D amplification per module drive each lightweight transducer for precise, transparent control across the array.
  • Discreet Architectural Profile — A 95-inch-tall enclosure only 8 inches wide blends into the architecture while remaining vertical and inconspicuous.
  • Weather-Resistant Construction — The Finnish birch enclosure with perforated steel grille is available in a weather-resistant finish for protected outdoor use.

Typical Applications

  • House of Worship — Delivers intelligible speech and music in highly reverberant sanctuaries and cathedrals.
  • Auditorium — Provides even coverage and long throw for lecture halls and performance auditoriums.
  • Government Space — Supports clear announcements in council chambers and civic facilities.
  • Commercial Meeting Space — Maintains intelligibility in large lobbies, atriums, and multi-use commercial environments.
  • Multi-Purpose Room — Adapts coverage via presets for rooms that change function throughout the day.
