Product Overview
The Renkus-Heinz SA118-RD is a self-powered 18-inch subwoofer with Dante digital audio and full network redundancy, engineered for networked commercial installations that require deep, reliable low-frequency support. It combines the SX118 cabinet and SSL18-11 woofer with an integrated SA2000-RD amplifier module that adds RHAON II control, onboard DSP, and AES67-compatible Dante distribution. As a Dante-ready networked subwoofer, it pairs cleanly with Renkus-Heinz full-range and steerable loudspeakers in auditoriums, houses of worship, and broadcast environments.
Product Description

The SA118-RD delivers the power and punch of an 18-inch woofer in a cabinet designed for straightforward integration, with large ports that keep forceful bass free of chuffing or fluttering noise. The built-in SA2000 amplifier is factory-matched to the woofer for optimal damping and multi-band limiting, eliminating separate amplifier racks and long speaker-cable runs. Controlled through RHAON II, the onboard DSP provides eight fully parametric EQ filters, high and low shelf filters, high and low pass filters, and up to 340 ms of delay. The RD model adds Dante digital signal distribution with AES67 compatibility and primary/secondary network redundancy, making it well suited to mission-critical audio infrastructure. Sixteen M10 Universal Mounting points and an M20 pole adapter support flown and ground-stacked deployment.
Key Features
- Dante with Network Redundancy — The SA2000-RD provides Dante digital audio with AES67 compatibility and primary/secondary Ethernet redundancy for resilient networked systems.
- Integrated SA2000 Amplifier — The built-in 2000-watt amplifier is factory-matched to the SSL18-11 woofer for optimal damping and driver-protecting multi-band limiting.
- RHAON II Network Control — Onboard DSP with eight parametric filters, shelving and pass filters, and up to 340 ms of delay is configured over Ethernet from RHAON II software.
- Deep Low-Frequency Output — Frequency response extends to 32 Hz (-10 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of 132 dB half-space.
- Flexible Mounting — Sixteen M10 Universal Mounting points plus an M20 pole mount support flown, stacked, or pole-mounted configurations.
- Simplified Integration — The self-powered design removes external amplifier racks and long speaker runs from distributed installations.
