Product Overview
The Renkus-Heinz CX121 is an externally powered 12-inch two-way point-source loudspeaker, part of the in-stock C Series for permanent install applications. It combines a heavy-duty 12-inch woofer and a 2-inch titanium HF driver on a rotatable Complex Conic waveguide, with a built-in passive crossover. As an install loudspeaker, it works as a compact main system or distributed coverage in auditoriums, houses of worship, and multi-purpose venues.
Product Description
The C Series delivers premium point-source performance for installation at a competitive price, kept in stock for immediate shipment in black or white. The CX121 features a heavy-duty 12-inch woofer and a 2-inch titanium HF driver. Its 90° x 40° Complex Conic horn provides constant beamwidth and directivity, and can be rotated 90° within the cabinet for wide or deep listening spaces. A built-in passive crossover with EQ and high-frequency protection eliminates the need for a separate electronic crossover and bi-amplification, and can be bypassed with an internal jumper for bi-amplified operation. Connections are made through screw terminals and looping 4-pin Neutrik Speakon-style connectors. The CX121 can be field-upgraded to a self-powered CA121 using a Renkus-Heinz SA1250 amplifier module. Twelve-point Universal Mounting Hardware with M10 threads supports flown and bracket-mounted installation.

Is the CX121 powered? No. It is an externally powered (passive) loudspeaker requiring an external amplifier. For a self-powered version, choose the CA121 with an integrated SA1250 amplifier module.
