This makes it appropriate for deployment scenarios where the codec's internal power budget or physical installation constraints require the table transmitter to draw power from a separate supply rather than solely from the codec end.

BYOM functionality is supported through Poly Device Mode: when the codec is in Device Mode, the table unit presents a USB-C connection for laptop-based BYOM users.
