What is the RDL TX-A2D?
The RDL TX-A2D is a passive stereo converter that isolates and attenuates a balanced +4 dBu source to feed consumer equipment with unbalanced -10 dBV inputs. It is a practical fit wherever professional audio signals need to feed consumer equipment inputs.
How does it work?
Each channel of the balanced source connects to a front-panel detachable terminal block. Studio-quality isolation transformers couple the signals to two gold-plated phono jacks, and an attenuation network sets each output to a nominal -10 dBV. The heavy-duty aluminum enclosure provides shielding, and RDL specifies 20 Hz to 20 kHz (±0.5 dB) response with less than 0.01% THD at 1 kHz. RDL lists TX mounting accessories such as the TX-RA5 19-inch racking system and MB-1 mounting kit for this module.
