RDL TX-1A – Adjustable Balanced to Unbalanced Transformer
What is the RDL TX-1A?
The RDL TX-1A is a balanced to unbalanced audio transformer with adjustable output level. It provides transformer isolation between a balanced line and an unbalanced input in commercial audio systems.
How does it work?
The TX-1A input can be set for 10 kΩ bridging or 600 Ω terminated operation. A level trimpot adjusts the output 4 to 24 dB below the input level to match the receiving equipment. Frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz (±0.5 dB) with THD below 0.05% at 1 kHz. Mount it with the RDL TX-HRA3 10.4" rack mount, the RDL TX-RA5 19" racking system or the RDL RC-HPS1 alongside a desktop power supply.
What are the key features?
- Transformer isolation — It isolates a balanced line from an unbalanced input.
- Adjustable output — A trimpot sets output 4 to 24 dB below the input level.
- Selectable input load — The input may be 10 kΩ bridging or 600 Ω terminated.
- Full-range response — Frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz (±0.5 dB).
- Low distortion — THD is below 0.05% at 1 kHz.
