What is the RDL STM-LDA3?
The RDL STM-LDA3 is a studio-quality microphone preamplifier with three distributed balanced line-level outputs in RDL's compact STICK-ON format. It splits a single microphone to several destinations, such as a mixer, recorder and assistive listening system, in commercial sound, broadcast and recording applications.
How does it work?
The 1.2 kohm balanced input accepts a wide range of mic levels without loading low-impedance microphones, and a 25-turn trimmer sets gain from 40 to 60 dB. Dynamic or condenser microphones may be used, with standard 24 V phantom supplied when the supply voltage is connected to the PHM terminal. RDL's dual-LED VU meter beside the terminal block shows green from 15 dB below +4 dBu and red above +4 dBu, so the module can be set up without test equipment. Three +4 dBu, 150 ohm balanced outputs can each be wired balanced or unbalanced. Power it from ground-referenced 24 Vdc such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply and mount it with the RDL SR-10 STICK-ON rack, SMK-12 mounting plate or DRA-35S DIN rail adapter.
