RDL STD-150 – Passive Audio Divider/Combiner, 150 Ω

What is the RDL STD-150?

The RDL STD-150 is a 150 Ω passive audio divider/combiner in RDL's compact STICK-ON format. It combines or splits balanced audio signals without power, for tasks such as summing stereo to mono, feeding a mono signal to stereo inputs, or combining several microphones into one amplifier input.

How does it work?

Each STD module is a resistive branching network with RF filtering on each of its four channels. Any channel, A through D, may be used as an input or an output. That lets one module combine stereo signals into a mono input, split a mono signal to multiple inputs, or combine microphones that have output shorting switches into a single amplifier input, with all inputs and outputs balanced. RDL offers the STD in 150 Ω, 600 Ω and 10 kΩ versions; the STD-600 is the 600 Ω companion. Mount it on an SR-10 rack or SMK-12 plate.

What are the key features?

• Four bidirectional channels — Any of channels A through D can be an input or an output.
• RF filtering — Each channel includes RF filtering to keep interference off the audio line.
• Balanced inputs and outputs — All connections are balanced for commercial audio systems.
• 150 Ω operation — This is the 150 Ω version of the RDL STD divider/combiner family, which is also offered in 10 kΩ.
• Passive STICK-ON format — No power is needed, and the compact module mounts with RDL STICK-ON hardware.
