RDL ST-SX4 – 4x1 Unbalanced Audio Switcher with Remote Control
What is the RDL ST-SX4?
The RDL ST-SX4 is a STICK-ON 4x1 audio switcher that selects one of four unbalanced audio sources, or switches all sources off. Selection is made locally or from a remote location over a single control pair.
How does it work?
Control is through a single CTRL input terminal: connecting a specified resistance between CTRL and ground switches on the desired input, and the necessary resistors are supplied. The D-RC4ST remote control provides four-button wall selection. All switching is solid state, with off-channel attenuation above 85 dB at 1 kHz and 15 Hz to 40 kHz (±0.5 dB) response. A SLAVE output drives a second ST-SX4 for stereo, and the module draws 45 mA from a ground-referenced 24 Vdc supply such as the PS-24AX power supply or PS-24AS (USA).
What are the key features?
- Four-input selection — One of four unbalanced sources feeds the output, or all can be off.
- Single-pair remote control — Selection runs over one control terminal and ground.
- Solid-state switching — All-electronic switching gives more than 85 dB off-channel attenuation at 1 kHz.
- Stereo slave capability — A SLAVE output links a second switcher for stereo.
- Resistors supplied — The control resistors needed for selection come with the module.
