What is the RDL ST-SH2?
The RDL ST-SH2 is a STICK-ON stereo headphone amplifier that drives headphones of any impedance from consumer or professional audio sources. It suits listening stations and monitoring positions in commercial AV systems.
How does it work?
For fixed-level installations, the module is wired to the audio source and to a headphone jack. The LEVEL ADJUST terminals may be wired to a stereo 10 kΩ potentiometer near the jack to give users volume control, with RDL recommending the module sit within 39 in. (1 m) of the jack and control. Gain is adjustable from -2 to 24 dB, and the output drives loads from 8 Ω to 5 kΩ at up to 250 mW into 8 Ω. Noise is better than 100 dB below operating level, and the module runs from a ground-referenced 24 Vdc supply at 200 mA. RDL lists STICK-ON mounting accessories such as the SR-4 and STR-19A for this module.
