What is the RDL ST-GCA3?
The RDL ST-GCA3 is a line-level automatic gain control amplifier that keeps audio levels uniform by raising low signals and reducing high ones. It suits background music, paging, intercom and microphone mixing systems.
How does it work?
The ST-GCA3 accepts a balanced input from -45 dBu to +20 dBu and holds the output within 3 dB across an AGC range greater than 40 dB. The adjustment rate is switch-selectable: SLOW mode is ideal for leveling music sources, while FAST mode corrects loud bursts and inconsistent levels in paging and intercom systems. It provides a +4 dBu, 150 Ω balanced line output and a -45 dBu balanced mic-level output. Frequency response is 10 Hz to 20 kHz (±0.75 dB). Power it from a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX.
