RDL ST-EQ3 – 3-Band Line-Level Audio Equalizer, STICK-ON
What is the RDL ST-EQ3?
The RDL ST-EQ3 is a STICK-ON 3-band line-level equalizer for tailoring the audio bandwidth of a system. Adjust it to pass voice-band audio for speech or create a smile curve for music.
How does it work?
Three active circuits control separate low, mid and high bands centered at 80 Hz, 1 kHz and 30 kHz. The balanced bridging input (100 kΩ) can be wired unbalanced, and the 150 Ω balanced output drives balanced or unbalanced lines of 150 Ω or higher at +4 dBu nominal. A peak overload LED shows excessive pre- or post-EQ levels during setup. The module draws 25 mA from a ground-referenced 24 Vdc supply; RDL recommends the PS-24AX power supply (international) or PS-24AS (USA).
What are the key features?
- Three-band EQ — Separate low, mid and high controls tailor system response.
- Voice or music shaping — Settings can pass voice-band audio or create a smile curve for music.
- Bridging input — The 100 kΩ input connects balanced or unbalanced.
- Peak overload LED — The LED flags excessive levels before or after EQ.
- Low noise and distortion — Active circuitry provides clean equalization.
