What is the RDL SF-NP50A?
The RDL SF-NP50A is a SYSFLEX 50 W constant-voltage amplifier that converts a Dante network channel and an analog input to a 70 V or 100 V speaker output. Built-in automatic ducking, VCA level control and a balanced line output make it a compact zone amplifier for paging and background music. It is plenum rated per UL 2043 and includes its external power supply.
How does it work?

The amplifier delivers 50 W for a network digital audio level of 0 dBFS. An analog source can connect to the balanced terminal block input or to an unbalanced Mini-jack that sums left and right to mono. Input gain is set with a rear-panel potentiometer and a dual-LED VU meter. Either the analog or the network input can be the paging source, and an automatic detector with adjustable threshold attenuates the other input by 25 dB or mutes it, then fades it back up when the page ends. The Dante source also drives a balanced +4 dBu line output on a terminal block for feeding other amplifiers. An internal VCA sets the output level and accepts an external 10 kΩ potentiometer or 0 to 10 Vdc, so RDL remote level controls can be used. Dante sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz are selectable without special software. The high-efficiency Class D stage includes thermal and short-circuit protection and automatically limits supply current to prevent supply shutdown. The included supply accepts 100 to 240 Vac and provides 24 Vdc to the module.
What are the key features?
- 50 W constant voltage — Drives 70 V or 100 V speaker lines.
- Dante and analog inputs — One Dante channel plus a balanced or Mini-jack analog input.
- Automatic ducking — Network or analog priority with -25 dB or off attenuation.
- VCA level control — External 10 kΩ potentiometer or 0 to 10 Vdc control.
- Balanced line output — Passes the Dante source to other equipment at +4 dBu.
- Plenum rated — UL 2043 rated with Class D efficiency and thermal protection.
Where is it typically used?
- Commercial paging and background music zones
- Conference rooms and training rooms
- Houses of worship
