What is the RDL SF-NP40D?
The RDL SF-NP40D is a Dante network stereo power amplifier that converts two Dante channels to two amplified outputs. Each output delivers 20 W into 8 Ohms, or 15 W into 4 Ohms, for a network level of 0 dBFS. An external 24 Vdc power supply is included, and the SF-NP40D includes a North American power cord. It is a compact way to drive local loudspeakers in conference rooms, huddle spaces and classrooms from a Dante network.
How does it work?

The SF-NP40D receives two Dante channels and converts them to two amplified outputs, switch-selectable for 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm loads. Special software is not required to configure the module, and it supports Dante sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz. THD+N is under 0.1% from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with 0.015% typical at 1 kHz, and crosstalk is better than -75 dB. The high-efficiency Class D output stages produce minimal heat for expected voice and music program. Thermal and output short-circuit protection are built in. A blue front-panel LED lights when the amplifier is powered from its included 24 Vdc supply, and a green LED confirms Dante sync. The included supply accepts 100 to 240 Vac, 50/60 Hz, through an IEC C14 inlet and outputs 24 Vdc at 2 A. RDL states that the SF-NP40D includes a North American cord and the SF-NP40DE excludes the power cord; see the RDL SF-NP40DE if you need the other version. The SYSFLEX all-metal enclosure is free-standing, surface-mounted or rack-mounted with the SF-RA1 rack adapter, or mounted under a table with the SF-UCB2 brackets.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the SF-NP40D and SF-NP40DE?
They share the same amplifier. RDL states the SF-NP40D includes a North American power cord, while the SF-NP40DE excludes the power cord for export installations.
How much power does it deliver?
20 W per channel into 8 Ohms or 15 W per channel into 4 Ohms, selected with a switch.
Is a power supply included?
Yes. A 100 to 240 Vac, 50/60 Hz universal supply with 24 Vdc, 2 A output is included.
Does it run on PoE?
No. RDL specifies the included external 24 Vdc supply for this model.
Does it need configuration software?
No special software is required for module setup; route audio to it like any Dante device.
How is it mounted?
Use the RDL SF-RA1 for rack installation or the RDL SF-UCB2 under-counter bracket pair.
