What is the RDL RU-EQ3?
The RDL RU-EQ3 is a three-band active audio equalizer in the RACK-UP format with user-accessible front-panel knobs. It tailors bass, voice midrange and treble response for paging, background music and sound reinforcement systems in conference rooms, restaurants and houses of worship.
How does it work?
A balanced bridging line input, which may be connected unbalanced, feeds a 150 ohm balanced output driver that drives balanced or unbalanced lines of 150 ohms or higher. Three front-panel knobs control low, mid and high bands centered at 80 Hz, 1 kHz and 30 kHz, each with at least 12 dB of boost or cut. The low and high band Q lets those controls act as overall bass and treble, while the midrange control is optimized for voice. An OVERLOAD indicator flashes if the input or output stage clips. The module runs from ground-referenced 24 Vdc such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply and mounts in the RDL RC-1UR 19 in. rack chassis, the UC-1R enclosure or the DRA-35R DIN rail adapter.
