What is the RDL RU-BTLA?
The RDL RU-BTLA is a Bluetooth 5.3 audio receiver for installed sound systems with balanced XLR, unbalanced RCA and RDL Format-A twisted pair outputs. It supports Bluetooth LE audio and Bluetooth Classic A2DP with LC3, AAC and SBC codecs. Commercial features such as PIN pairing control, custom broadcast names and remote pairing buttons make it suitable for shared rooms.
How does it work?

When paired with a Bluetooth source, the RU-BTLA feeds stereo audio to its +4 dBu balanced XLR outputs, -10 dBV RCA outputs and Format-A RJ45 outputs, and all outputs can be used at once. Line outputs are controlled by a single front-panel slotted attenuator and can be set to stereo or mono with a recessed slide switch. Format-A outputs run at a fixed level; stereo feeds pairs B and C, while mono can be assigned to pair A, B or C, allowing up to three RU-BTLA modules on one three-pair Format-A receiver. Pairing starts from a front-panel button with LED status, and a rear terminal block supports one or two remote pairing controls such as the RDL D-RBTP or third-party dry contacts. The module stores the seven most recently paired devices for re-pairing, and all outputs mute when nothing is paired. Under ideal conditions, range can extend up to 100 meters (about 328 ft) from a Class 1 device, limited by the connected device's range. Configuration is done with RDL Console 3 over Bluetooth, including PIN pairing enable/disable, PIN definition and the broadcast name. The RU-BTLA can be powered from a Format-A receiver or from an external 24 Vdc supply at 250 mA, such as the PS-24AX (international), and passes power to connected Format-A devices. It can be rack-mounted, free-standing or surface-mounted with the RC-1UR 1RU rack chassis, RU-HRA1 10.4-inch rack mount or RU-SMA1 surface mounting plate.
