What is the RDL RU-ADA4D?
The RDL RU-ADA4D is a stereo audio distribution amplifier that feeds four stereo outputs, or eight mono outputs when switched to mono mode. Front-panel input and output trimmers plus a dual-LED VU meter for each input make level setting straightforward. Balanced or unbalanced connections on detachable terminal blocks and very low distortion suit demanding professional installations.
How does it work?
The RU-ADA4D has two line-level inputs that accept balanced or unbalanced signals on rear-panel detachable terminal blocks. Front-panel INPUT GAIN trimmers bring signals between -14 dBV unbalanced and +9 dBu balanced to the proper operating level, shown on dual-LED VU meters. Maximum input level is +25 dBu, which leaves ample headroom at normal operating levels. A rear-panel switch selects stereo or mono; in mono, input A drives all 8 outputs, so only one input needs wiring. Each of the eight outputs has its own front-panel level trimmer and delivers +4 dBu balanced at 150 Ω or -10 dBV unbalanced. THD+N is below 0.0025%, noise is below -92 dB, and CMRR is above 90 dB at 100 Hz. The module runs on 24 Vdc; RDL recommends the PS-24AS (USA) or PS-24AX (international) supply. It mounts with RDL RACK-UP accessories such as the RDL RU-HRA1 or RDL RC-1UR rack chassis, or on a surface with the RDL RU-BR1 bracket.
