What is the RDL FP-TP4PW?
The RDL FP-TP4PW is a four-output power inserter for RDL twisted pair products that powers remote senders and receivers from one convenient location. It simplifies Format-A systems in conference centers, classrooms and hospitality spaces by eliminating local power supplies at each wall plate.
How does it work?
The module is powered from a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply through either of two power jacks or a full-size terminal block, and the jacks at each end allow several FP-TP4PW units to be chained from one supply. Four dual-RJ45 jack sets connect remote twisted pair modules; one jack of each set can power receivers while the other powers senders, and signal pairs feed through between them. Each output is protected by an automatically resetting fuse rated for 200 mA per RJ45, and a green LED per output confirms correct voltage to help locate wiring faults. A blue LED shows the module is receiving power. Mount it with the RDL FP-RRA 19 in. rack adapter, the FP-HRA 10.4 in. rack mount or the DRA-35F DIN rail adapter.
