What is the RDL FP-PA20?
The RDL FP-PA20 is a 20 W RMS mono audio power amplifier that drives an 8 ohm speaker load. An integral compressor controls clipping so the amplifier delivers high average audio levels.
How does it work?
The balanced line-level input may also be connected unbalanced, and the front-panel gain control accepts both +4 dBu and -10 dBV source levels. The output drives one 8 ohm speaker or multiple speakers wired to present an 8 ohm load. Audio levels that could clip the output are compressed using two dynamic time constants designed to preserve aural transparency, while normal levels pass unaffected so the compressor does not increase feedback potential during paging. RDL recommends 24 Vdc supplies including the RDL PS-24KX 24 Vdc 1 A power supply. FLAT-PAK modules can be rack mounted with the RDL FP-HRA or the FP-RRA rack adapter.
