What is the RDL DS-TPSL2A?
The RDL DS-TPSL2A is a stainless steel two-pair sender for RDL Format-A twisted pair audio systems. It provides a phantom-powered XLR microphone input and stereo RCA line inputs summed to mono.
How does it work?
The microphone preamplifier output is routed to pair A, and the summed left and right line inputs are routed to pair B. The XLR input supplies 24 Vdc IEC phantom voltage and works with dynamic or condenser microphones, while a rear-panel switch sets NORM or HIGH mic gain. Because it drives only two pairs, the module can accept signals and power from another single-pair Format-A sender on the remaining pair. Power is supplied through the twisted pair cable or locally from a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply, and the plate installs in RDL wall boxes like the RDL WB-1U wall box.

- Stereo RCA line input — Two -10 dBV RCA jacks accept consumer sources and are summed to mono on pair B.
- Two-pair output — Mic audio rides pair A and line audio rides pair B, leaving pair C free for another sender.
- Rear-panel gain switch — Installers choose NORM or HIGH microphone gain to match expected source levels.
- Remote powering — The module can be powered through the twisted pair cable from other Format-A modules or a power inserter.
