What is the RDL DS-TPSL1A?
The RDL DS-TPSL1A is a stainless steel single-pair sender that places a stereo line source onto an RDL Format-A twisted pair system. It accepts a mini-jack or dual RCA input and sums the signal to mono.
How does it work?
The unbalanced inputs are designed for standard -10 dBV consumer sources such as laptops and media players. A switch selects which Format-A pair (A, B or C) the module feeds, so up to three single-pair senders can share one cable as long as each feeds a different pair. Signal and power pairs pass through both rear-panel RJ45 jacks for daisy-chaining with other senders. The module can be powered remotely through the cable or locally from a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply, and it fits RDL wall boxes like the RDL WB-1U wall box.
What are the key features?
- Mini-jack or RCA input — Stereo sources connect through either a 3.5 mm mini-jack or dual RCA jacks and are summed to mono.
- Selectable output pair — A switch assigns the output to Format-A pair A, B or C so several senders can share one cable.
- RJ45 pass-through — Both rear RJ45 jacks pass signal and power pairs for chaining with other single-pair or two-pair senders.
- Fused local power — Local 24 Vdc power on the terminal block is fused and fed to all connected Format-A modules.
- Power indicator — A blue LED confirms the module is powered for quick installation checks.
