What is the RDL DS-J3?
The RDL DS-J3 is a Decora-style mic/line input panel assembly in a stainless steel finish that combines a female XLR microphone jack with two RCA phono jacks. It provides a single wall location for a microphone and a stereo consumer source in conference rooms, training rooms and classrooms.
How does it work?
The gold-contact XLR is connected directly to the rear-panel barrier block for a microphone input. The two phono jacks accept mono or stereo consumer-level sources; left and right are combined and balanced through audio transformers that reject induced hum. The line-level output is provided on the rear terminal block for connection to inputs of 10 kΩ or higher, with a 30 Hz to 20 kHz (±1 dB) line response. The panel is passive and finished with a labeled metal rear enclosure. Mount it in a standard US single-gang electrical box, an RDL WB-1U back box, an SMB-1G surface mount box, a DC-1G desktop chassis, or an RM-D3 19-inch rack panel.
