What is the RDL DG-PSP1F?
The RDL DG-PSP1F is a compact active loudspeaker in a gray Decora-compatible enclosure that delivers rich, detailed sound from a single wall plate position. It accepts a -10 dBV unbalanced or +4 dBu balanced line signal on a rear-panel detachable terminal block, with installer-set level (control behind the grille), making it a clean choice for paging, program audio and local monitoring in offices, lobbies and meeting rooms.
How does it work?
The DG-PSP1F accepts a -10 dBV unbalanced or +4 dBu balanced line signal on its rear-panel detachable terminal block and runs from a ground-referenced 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply. A high-efficiency Class D amplifier rated at 2 W RMS drives a driver built from materials found in larger premium speakers, and an analog compressor/limiter allows higher average output without clipping. The amplified level is set by the installer using a volume control behind the speaker grille, so occupants cannot change it. The sealed steel enclosure provides full baffling, internal filtering rolls off out-of-band frequencies, and dispersion covers nearly 180 degrees when wall mounted, with 81 dB maximum SPL and a nominal 150 Hz to 20 kHz range. Complete the installation with an RDL CP-1G gray cover plate, a DC-1G desktop/wall chassis or SMB-1G surface mount box.
