What is the RDL DB-SFRC8?
The RDL DB-SFRC8 is a SourceFlex room control station in a black finish that gives one room source selection and volume control from up to 8 audio sources. A built-in Class D amplifier delivers 3.5 W RMS into an 8 ohm speaker, and two line-level outputs can feed an external amplifier. It mounts in a US single-gang electrical box or RDL WB-1U and suits office distributed sound systems with background music and paging.
How does it work?
The DB-SFRC8 is the in-wall listening station of the RDL SourceFlex distributed audio system. A front-panel pushbutton steps through up to 8 sources while a 7-segment LED shows the selected channel, with 0 indicating off or paging. A single-turn audio-taper control sets the volume for the room. The internal high-efficiency Class D stage delivers up to 3.5 W RMS into 8 ohms or 6.5 W RMS into 4 ohms, with thermal and short-circuit protection. Two rear-panel line outputs, +4 dBu balanced and -10 dBV unbalanced, can drive an external power amplifier for larger rooms. An installer switch sets the balanced output to a fixed +4 dBu or to a variable level that follows the front-panel control. Power at 24 Vdc and control signals are supplied from the SourceFlex controller over the same wiring, connected on a detachable terminal block. The station installs in a US single-gang box or an RDL WB-1U wall box, and matches other RDL Decora-style plates such as the RDL CP-1.
