What is the RDL DB-RLC10KM?
The RDL DB-RLC10KM is a black Decora-style remote level control with a mute pushbutton for RDL VCA modules and amplifiers. It gives presenters and room users volume and mute control from a single wall location.
How does it work?
The panel connects to the 3-wire control input of an RDL VCA product, normally over a single shielded pair, and a long-life linear 10 kΩ potentiometer sets the control voltage. Ten graphic increments around the knob show the level setting, and the MUTE button alternately mutes and unmutes the audio. The MUTE LED glows red when muted (0 V dc output) and green when active, and a 25 mA open-collector MUTE output is provided. Use it with VCA-equipped amplifiers such as the RU-PA40D, and finish the install with the CP-1B cover plate.
