RDL DB-RCX2 – Decora Room Control for RCX-5C, Black
What is the RDL DB-RCX2?
The RDL DB-RCX2 is a Decora-style room control for the RDL RCX-5C room combining system, finished in black. It mounts in an individual room so occupants can select the audio source and set the listening level for that space. Long-life pushbuttons choose Music or Local/Combined operation, and an optical rotary encoder with an LED readout sets the audio level.
How does it work?
The DB-RCX2 is the in-room user interface for an RCX-5C room combiner installation. Each divisible room receives its own control so source selection and level adjustment stay with the people using that room. Pushbuttons select Music or Local/Combined operation, letting a room run independently or follow the combined program. Level is set with an optical rotary encoder, and an LED readout shows the selected audio level. RDL states that one or two RCX 2 units may be connected in the same room, so a large space can have a second control point. The control uses a Decora® design with an all-steel panel and rear enclosure in a black finish. It installs in a standard Decora opening, an RDL WB-1U universal wall box or a surface box such as the RDL SMB-1W, with a cover plate like the RDL CP-1. For rooms that need a different control layout, RDL also offers the RDL DB-RCX1 for the same RCX-5C system.
