RDL D-TPS8A – Format-A Multi-Location Mini-Jack Sender, White
What is the RDL D-TPS8A?
The RDL D-TPS8A is a Format-A two-pair audio sender with a front-panel stereo mini-jack input on a Decora-style panel. It lets guests or staff connect a computer or personal media player and send audio over twisted pair, with additional TPS8A senders connectable for multiple input locations.
How does it work?
The mini-jack input accepts standard -10 dBV consumer signals, with the left channel feeding pair B and the right feeding pair C. A rear-panel RJ45 input connects additional TPS8A senders, and signal and power pass through on RJ45 jacks. Power arrives remotely through the twisted-pair cable. The D-TPS8A has a white front-panel laminate with gray lettering that matches RDL Decora-style remote controls. Use it with Format-A receivers and amplifiers such as the RDL D-TPA1A or D-TPR2A, mounted in an RDL WB-1U wall box.
What are the key features?
- Front mini-jack input — A -10 dBV stereo mini-jack connects computers and personal media players.
- Multiple input locations — A rear RJ45 input connects additional TPS8A senders.
- Pairs B and C — Left feeds pair B and right feeds pair C of the Format-A cable.
- Remote powering — The module is powered through the twisted-pair cable.
- Active balanced circuitry — Studio-quality precision circuitry drives the cable pairs.
