RDL D-TPS2AM – Format-A XLR Mic and Mini-Jack Sender, White
What is the RDL D-TPS2AM?
The RDL D-TPS2AM is a Format-A two-pair sender with an XLR microphone input and a stereo mini-jack line input on a Decora-style panel. It lets a presenter connect a mic and a laptop or media player at the wall and send both over one twisted-pair cable.
How does it work?
The microphone input feeds pair A, while the -10 dBV stereo mini-jack input is summed to mono and feeds pair B. Studio-quality active balanced circuitry drives both pairs. Power arrives remotely through the twisted-pair cable or from a fused local terminal block input fed by a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX power supply (the international version of RDL's recommended 24 Vdc supply). The D-TPS2AM has a white front-panel laminate with gray lettering that matches RDL Decora-style remote controls. Receive the signals with Format-A receivers such as the RDL D-TPR1A, and mount the sender in an RDL WB-1U wall box.
What are the key features?
- Mic and line inputs — An XLR mic input and a stereo mini-jack line input share one panel.
- Mono-summed line input — The -10 dBV stereo mini-jack is summed to mono on pair B.
- Two Format-A pairs — The mic feeds pair A and the line input feeds pair B.
- Remote or local power — Power runs over twisted pair or from a fused local terminal block input.
- Power LED — A blue LED indicates the module is powered.
