RDL D-RC4RU – 4-Channel Remote for RACK-UP Switchers, White
What is the RDL D-RC4RU?
The RDL D-RC4RU is a white Decora-style wall remote that directly controls the RDL RU-SX4A 4x1 audio switcher. Four pushbuttons give one-touch source selection from a conference room, classroom or meeting space wall.
How does it work?
The D-RC4RU connects to the power and SLAVE terminals of the RU-SX4A using a 3-pair (or 6-conductor) cable, and it can also directly control the RDL RU-VSX4 video switcher. At power-up source 1 is selected, and pressing any other button switches to that source while a red LED shows the active channel. Each of the four outputs is an open-collector output that pulls to ground when selected, and one remote can drive two RU-SX4A modules for stereo. It runs from a ground-referenced 24 Vdc supply at 30 mA and mounts in a standard US electrical box with the CP-1 cover plate sold separately.
What are the key features?
- Direct RU-SX4A control — The remote wires straight to the RU-SX4A power and SLAVE terminals with no interface module.
- Four-button selection — One pushbutton per source gives users a fast, single-touch input change.
- LED source indication — A red LED beside each button shows which input is active.
- Stereo capable — One remote can drive two RU-SX4A switchers for stereo installations.
- Detachable terminal block — Rear-panel terminal connections simplify installation and service.
