RDL D-RC2 – 2-Channel Remote Audio Mixing Control
What is the RDL D-RC2?
The RDL D-RC2 is a 2-channel remote audio mixing control panel that puts user volume knobs on the wall. It works with RDL remote-controlled mixers in conference rooms, classrooms and multi-purpose spaces.
How does it work?
A rear-panel RJ45 jack connects the D-RC2 to an RDL remote-controlled mixer over standard twisted-pair wiring. The cable sends knob position data to the mixer, which uses VCA technology to set its levels while all audio stays local to the mixer. Each control uses a long-life 10 kΩ potentiometer to set the VCA voltage. The panel measures 4.1 in. H x 1.7 in. W and mounts in a standard US electrical box; pair it with a cover plate such as the RDL CP-1.
What are the key features?
- Remote mixer control — The panel sets levels on an RDL remote-controlled mixer as if the knobs were on the mixer itself.
- Single-turn rotary controls — Long-life 10 kΩ potentiometers give users familiar volume knobs.
- RJ45 twisted-pair connection — Standard twisted-pair cable links the panel to the mixer's light-blue control jack.
- Audio stays at the mixer — No audio travels to the wall plate, so VCA level control keeps signals local.
- Standard electrical box mounting — It mounts in a standard US electrical box with a cover plate available separately.
