What is the RDL D-CIJ3D?
The RDL D-CIJ3D is a Decora-style wall plate input module that connects stereo consumer audio sources to balanced or unbalanced audio lines. It suits conference rooms, classrooms and meeting spaces where users plug in laptops or media players at the wall.
How does it work?
The front panel provides two gold-plated phono jacks and a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack, and a source may connect to either set of inputs. The inputs are balanced through audio transformers configured to reject induced hum, converting unbalanced sources without adding gain. A stereo line-level output on the rear-panel detachable terminal block feeds module or equipment inputs of 10 kΩ or higher. The module is offered in RDL white/gray finish, with the stainless steel version sold as the RDL DS-CIJ3D.

- Transformer-isolated inputs — Audio transformers balance the inputs and reject induced hum on unbalanced line sources.
- Unbalanced to balanced conversion — The module converts unbalanced sources to balanced lines without adding gain.
- Detachable terminal block output — The rear-panel terminal block delivers a stereo line-level output to 10 kΩ or higher inputs.
- Low distortion — RDL specifies THD below 0.2% at 1 kHz and crosstalk below -80 dB at 1 kHz.
