RDL D-BZR – Piezo Alert Module with LED Alarm Indicator
What is the RDL D-BZR?
The RDL D-BZR is a piezo alert module that gives an audible alarm of a remote condition. It pairs an LED alarm indicator with a front-panel reset button for equipment monitoring in AV and control systems.
How does it work?
The D-BZR has TRIP and RESET control inputs that activate when pulled to ground, so it can be triggered by a switch or open-collector output. The audible alert sounds at approximately 4 kHz, at 85 dB SPL at 10 cm on the loud setting or 75 dB SPL on the soft setting. It can run in momentary or latching operation and supports remote reset as well as the front-panel reset button. Power requirement is 24 Vdc or ac at 10 mA; power it from a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX power supply. The module measures 4.1 in. H x 1.3 in. W x 1.6 in. D and accepts a cover plate such as the RDL CP-1.
What are the key features?
- Audible remote alert — An approximately 4 kHz piezo tone signals a remote condition at the panel location.
- Selectable audio level — Choose 85 dB SPL or 75 dB SPL at 10 cm to suit the room.
- LED alarm indicator — A visual indicator shows the alarm state alongside the tone.
- Front-panel and remote reset — The alarm can be cleared at the panel or from a remote reset input.
- Momentary or latching operation — The alert can follow the trigger or latch until it is reset.
