Product Description
The RCU2S-G30 places a Head End (HE) unit at the codec or USB host and a Camera End (CE) unit at the Panasonic camera location. A single CAT5e or CAT6 cable between these units carries USB 2.0/UVC video, bi-directional audio, and 5V/12V camera power. Power delivery at the camera end eliminates the need for a separate local power supply. UVC compliance ensures the Panasonic camera appears as a standard USB video device on any USB 2.0 host without proprietary drivers.
The bi-directional audio channel supports microphone or intercom signal transport. The G30 variant does not include RS-232 serial control — for Panasonic PTZ cameras requiring RS-232 control, see the RCU2S-GC8 (which adds the RS-232 loop). Replacement modules (RCU2S-CE and RCU2S-HE) are available separately.
