Product Description
The RCU2S-E10 uses a Head End (HE) unit at the codec or host and a Camera End (CE) unit at the AVer camera location. A single CAT5e or CAT6 cable run between these units carries USB 2.0/UVC video, bi-directional audio, and 5V/12V camera power — replacing multiple discrete cable runs with one structured cabling path. Power at the camera end removes the need for a separate local power supply at the camera mount.
UVC compliance ensures the AVer camera is recognized as a standard USB video device on any USB 2.0 host on Windows, macOS, or Linux without proprietary drivers. The bi-directional audio channel supports microphone or intercom signal transport. The E10 configuration does not include RS-232 control — for AVer cameras requiring RS-232 PTZ control over the same CAT run, see the RCU2S-EA8 or other A8-designated variants. Replacement modules (RCU2S-CE and RCU2S-HE) are available separately.
